I'm *this* close to screaming at the next person who makes a general nuisance out of him/herself.

prelim's in 3-odd weeks. barely started studying. so, most people will ask, where's the stress coming from? well, it's coming from everywhere else. the goals/targets, some people (who deserve a sword pushed forcefully into the space between their eyes), some things, some happenings. i need a nice long(er) holiday. either that or i need to see the nice people at IMH. absorbing 5 purple souls, turning blue, and slashing the hell out of everyone/thing might work as well. then again, i'd have to be the last human on earth, and the oni race would have to be close to extinction (read: the last member's dying) for them to give me their power. or maybe they'd just surrender.

yesterday was the blackout of the...1/2 year? i remembered something similar happened to another part of singapore within the last year. but it was the first time my house, or the estate for that matter, appeared so dark. maybe i should've taken pictures. but then again, how would a picture accurately replicate the scene?

spiderman 2 just came out today. damn the wicked, twisted, sadistic people who choose to release a new, long-awaited-for, potentially-interesting movie on a weekday. oh well. probably catching it on saturday after the lc.

-thingy of the day: Fascination is one step beyond interest. Interested people want to know if it works. Fascinated people want to learn how it works.-

THIS IS NOT HAPPENING.

school just lost what little appeal it had. but we all have to swallow it, don't we?

as i found out today, we're not completely done with chinese after all. still got oral and lc. oh well. only worried for oral. need to learn to speak chinese confidently.

btw. anyone who's interested to hear this year's lc text/narration and do the questions for later comparison, get your radio tuned to 92.4fm at around 8am this saturday. yes, this is for my cousin, who already cleared his chinese. give me an idea of how much i'll get for the lc ok?

It's amazing how 39 hours suddenly became 12 hours+. i managed to settle history, and well, i'll put sciences off for a while. maybe i'll do up a little amaths later.

the one thing that makes me look forward to school is chem. don't know why. even after everything's been taught, i still look forward to it. as long as the teacher's Mr Lee. there'd better not be a change.

and just for fun,

End-of-holiday countdown: approx. 39 hours. oh boy. lets see. time allocation:

- 16 hours sleping
- 9 hours doing nothing
- 7 hours work
- 5 hours revision
- rest of the time's flexible.

what torture fun. must brainwash myself. only 5 more weeks to prelim 2. 35 days. 834 hours. 50040 minutes. 3002400 seconds and counting. wow. just...wow.

Testing email posting ^__^
The word's despair. that's the word i'm looking for. it's always the same. think of worrying, but never do anything. i'm starting to think i'm not that worried after all. oh well. let's see:

- 1 ton of integration
- 2 assignments for physics
- 1.5 chem papers (undone)
- 7 history SEQs

that, ladies/gentlemen, is the recepie for disaster. i think i can settle everything except history, because i appear to have lost the questions. oh boy. monday's gonna be fun. or not. at least there's no chinese for a month or so.

It's one of the rare times when people are asking me to update. guess i've really been slacking. so...what's new in my life? not much, as evident from the lack of updates.
except that i've been talking to some classmates and a friend who's now in australia. don't know why, but talking's fun. especially when someone's just been pms-ing at you.

just a little thing from my walk at the beach:

4 more days before school reopens. i think it's really a tradition, but the worry's starting to build. so much unfinished work!!! oh no!! what to do!!?? the answer's simple: just leave it alone until sunday. quote "why do today what you can put off till tomorrow?" anyone who's played FFX will get this one. *note: that does not reflect my mindset towards everything. there are exceptions, ie. anything and everything not school-related*

i suppose i'll just leave it here. can't think of what to write anymore.

After a nice, long, sandy, watery, salty, sunny, windy, rocky, thought-invoking walk at the beach, life feels like it's worth living again. now i don't want to exist, but *live*. even if it's for another one of these walks.

for some funny reason, i started laughing the moment i was on the sand. not just "ha-ha" laughing, but actually cracking up and earning many freaked-out expressions from the people in a 100 metre radius. but it was worth it. it was one of those rare times i could just do anything i wanted to without really caring about what the other people saw. it was hella fun. should do it more often.

but still, there's this empty feeling in me. like a pit of sorts. don't know why. i seem to have everything i could ever hope for. ok, maybe not everything, but it's good enough. i guess it's human nature to be unsatisfied; to want more. oh well.

Guess the blogging bug bit me again. just letting everyone know i'm still alive.

i'm feeling tired and bored. how these two fit together is still a mystery to me, but it's happening. well, it's more on the bored side now, since 14 hours of sleep last night.

oh well. have to head off to do something un-boring now...like finding a certain CD.

-thingy of the day: The smallest actions can affect the biggest situations.-

Just when I thought it was over, the anonymous person made a comeback. This time he even posed as one of my friends. btw. If the person in question really did post the offending message(s), then I'm a poor judge of character. And I'm even subconsciously capitalizing all the necessary stuff. Signs of too much fanfic-writing. Should cut down.

School tomorrow as usual. But there's a break in the second class since Terence isn't free. Yay. More rest/chiong integration time. Oh well. Such is life.

-thingy of the day: Mr. Lee (chem teacher) was a HOD in HCJC.-

After (finally) completing Oni3, i'm back to give a more balanced review.

gameplay was even better in the second half. hard to believe, but true. take for instance the Oni-Genma war. despite about 30-odd soldiers on the battlefield at any given time, the game barely slowed down, and onthe rare occasion that it did, it could pass off for dramatic effect. that single battle won me over.

and as usual, the storyline was done up really well, especially for a game that involves time distortions. no major loopholes in the plot.

but, unfortunately, the last boss fight was a bit of a joke, provided the correct method was used. and compared to the intro, the ending was total BS. all the same, it's still a great game. so buy it.

life's boring. got school for about 3 days this week, then the real holiday starts. for one week. wow. well, nothing to say here, so i'll just be off.

-thingy of the day:-

Wednesday, June 09, 2004

We're approximately....40%(?) into the holidays already. 2 weeks and 4 days left. and although i'm bored out of my skull, i want this to last forever. it's better to wander aimlessly than go forward and meet death, unless you're sure you'll emerge victorious.

got back to writing fanfiction for more than an hour a day. too much time on my hands. currently done to chapter 25 (planning on ending at 27) and then doing a half-sequel from another point of view. whee. I think that one will finish around chapter 15 - 20 since i'm not doing alternate POV's any more. I'm not one for long draggy stories...although exceptions will be made if the story is wonderfully magnificently good. like a certain 76-chapter story and its 50+ chapter (unfinished) sequel. too bad the author took it down for MAJOR spelling/grammar checking.

still got lessons on friday, as well as on next week's monday, tuesday and thursday. and then i'm free. but with tons of holiday homework.

and just to reiterate my stand: GO GET ONIMUSHA 3!!!

-thingy of the day: The main character in Onimusha 3 is modelled after Takeshi Kaneshiro.-

Monday, June 07, 2004

Going back to school today was (almost) a total waste of time. chem and history just about bored the hell out of me; if i had hell in me in the first place. guess holiday boredom's starting to kick in a little.

oh yes...i forgot to mention that i've stumbled upon a nice game, called ONIMUSHA 3: DEMON SIEGE (for PS2). It has wonderful graphics, good sound, and a surprisingly deep storyline for a hack-and-slash game. Of course, trainings could be easier (Issen Training, anyone?) and the dark realms are a pain in the...neck, but the rewards are worth it. Overall, it's a game worth getting. That is, if you're ok with demons getting shot in the head, electrocuted, stabbed in the heart, cut in half, and blood flying *everywhere*.

-thingy of the day: Never judge a book by its cover. Judge it by thickness instead.-

Sunday, June 06, 2004

Well...there goes the first week of the holidays. next week's ganna be packed with lessons.

on a more serious note, i don't know what i have/have not done to deserve the dubious honour of having anonymous people post undesirable messages on my tagboard. so, to make it clear, i'm sorry if i've offended you in any way, shape, or form, but this has to stop. of course, you can still continue to post; it's a free world. but if you do, just know that i'll be deleting your messages. in the worst-case scenario, the tagboard gets closed. but that's unlikely to happen. i've faced bigger things than an internet war.

and also, please, *PLEASE*, don't let me find out who you are. i'll do everything in my power to make sure you'll never come to this site again. and possibly scar you for life, physically and mentally, in the process.

-thingy of the day: When God wants to punish us, he grants our wishes.-

Oh i love deleting messages, that i do. btw. Thanks Juliano! ^__^

-thingy of the day: If you insult someone, have what it takes to own up. Yes, this is to all the anonymous posters. Not only here, but throughout the internet.-

I'm bored. yes i am.

10 Years Ago, I...
01 was in K1 or K2 (like everyone else born in '88)
02 first fell down and cut myself
03 saw someone deliberately cut another person
04 lived with my grandparents (or did they live with us??)
05 first stayed over at my cousin's house
06 developed some irrational fears

5 Years Ago, I...
01 was in the second-best class in the level
02 had to do 2 problem sums per day
03 had my last year in the afternoon session
04 attended my grandmother's funeral on 21 April
05 started watching kenshin

3 Years Ago, I...
01 sat with kenny tan on the first day of school
02 enjoyed the freedom when he was absent for 6 months (1-5/2-5 joke)
03 was at another funeral
04 got my first detention
05 didn't really care about anything

2 years ago, I...
01 began to enjoy my time in 2-5
02 saw the world in a new light
03 was worried about streaming
04 was at yet another funeral
05 had 5 chinese teachers over the year (and failed the subject)

A Year Ago, I...
01 ironically ended up in the second worst class in the level
02 met people whom i never saw before
03 moved to the primary school
04 found interest in chem
05 really knew what "class spirit" meant
06 had the best physics teacher in school
07 met HBK and DM Toh

So Far This Year, I...
01 started stepping out of the house more
02 made more friends
03 and unfortunately, more enemies as well
04 learnt to take all news with a smile
05 have resolved not to screw up the remaining prelims
06 'm having fun

Yesterday, I....
01 sat for the chinese o's
02 felt that it was hopeless
03 went bowling for the first time in 3-odd months
04 spent some time with the team
05 received a message

Today, I ....
01 sat for prelim oral
02 still thought it was all hopeless
03 skipped SS
04 had a bad dream
05 rediscovered the meaning of "relax"

Tomorrow I will...
01 most probably go for a movie
02 finish 2 more chapters of my fanfic
03 enjoy myself
04 not think that much
05 ignore everything that is going on around the house
06 catch up on sleep

10 years later i will....
01 most probably end up on jurong island...or back in catholic high
02 have lived in japan for at least 3 years
03 not be married
04 have all the freedom i want
05 probably still keep this blog

and there you have it.

something really freaked me out today. if you'll look under the "Today" section of the survey thingy, you'll see something about a bad dream. damn, this dream was so real it hurt. and what's worse is, it seemed so possible, especially with what's going on at home right now. call me over-sensitive, but i have a bad feeling about this.
