Like my previous post said, i booked in to camp early on saturday morning, and only booked out this past friday evening. so, a simple calculation will reveal that i've been in camp for 7 days, which is way too long by ordinary human standards. so, i believe it's understandable if i say this book-out feels almost as good as the first book-out from tekong...almost.
well, aside from the long week, it's been pretty relaxed. for some reason, i'm less busy than usual. this can mean a few things - that i've forgotten some stuff, pushed my work around, or i'm simply thinking too much. hopefully it's the third, because the first two tend to have bad repercussions. of course, the 2-day exercise probably helped time to pass more quickly too.
by now, anyone who isn't living under a rock will have probably heard of singapore's most wanted man escaping from a detention centre located at whitley road. in particular, something scares me. that is the fact that nobody bothered to tell me (or the general public, for that matter) that that particular person was housed so close to my JC. well, i wouldn't have minded if he didn't escape, but well...oops. at present, there are theories flying around about the escape, but i'm going to keep quiet about what little i know, and not speculate about this incident. believe me, i probably know less about this than the average passer-by.
sadly, i'll have to go back into camp early tomorrow morning, so this will most probably be my last post until the next book-out. small measure of comfort is that unlike a typical work week, i get to book out on thursday because we're going to east coast park on friday. while there are cons (like travelling time, distance and cost), i'm going to look on the bright side and emphasize the fact that i get to sleep in my own bed on thursday night, and that friday should be fun, what with games and all that. so...yes. i guess that's about it for now.
