Somehow, CNY this year felt strangely un-festive. while i'm inclined to pin it all on the army once again (after all, how excited can you be in tekong?), i think there are other reasons as well. but well, almost a week has passed since the celebrations already, so i guess there's no point in dwelling on it for too long.
POP in another 4 weeks! or 3 weeks+ rather. hard to believe BMT's coming to an end already. i'm actually having mixed feelings about leaving tekong. on one hand, it would be nice to not be the lowest life-form in the SAF any more, but at the same time, i don't know if i'll be lucky enough to have good superiors (like i have now) in my future unit posting.
it's kind of odd how army robs you of any free time. sure, you get to book out, but even then, you rarely feel like going out. not to mention the lack of concession for bus and train fares. sometimes, it really sucks not to be a student any more.
anyways, i'm also running out of stuff to blog about. life practically becomes nonexistent after enlistment. oh well. i think i'll end off here. still have to go to beach road to pick up a few supplies.
