In the latest instance of "how i mysteriously hurt myself", i somehow pulled a back muscle by basically doing nothing. well, i did clean my room, including changing my bedsheet and mopping the floor. i don't think that it was strenuous enough to cause injury, though. but yes, that's one thing that i can cross off my to-do list. today's mini-goal is to clear half of my desk, and maybe put a set of manga up for sale on carousell.
had another weird dream last night. i dreamt that the IP firm asked me to go back on a part-time basis, and the first assignment i was given was to prepare and deliver a presentation on patents...in chinese. made no sense whatsoever, but then, dreams rarely make sense. i hope this doesn't mean that i'm still subconsciously hung up over losing that job, because i'd like to think that i'm over it by now, what with JET lined up and all. shouldn't look into it too much. i mean, anything that a person experiences is fair game for dreams, right?
final fantasy has been interesting. it's my primary form of social interaction these days, which is nice given the lockdown and all. apart from the game itself, i'm also learning a lot about how to deal with different kinds of people. like we had a new member recently who's a bit more open than what we're used to. despite being in the guild for like, 2 days, he was already telling people about his uncertainty about dating this guy who was emotionally distant. i was ok with talking with him about it, but i guess it made some other people uncomfortable, because (1) it's kind of a personal topic, and (2) he hasn't been in the guild long enough to establish the rapport that would make broaching such topics "acceptable". but well. i don't think he's a bad person. probably just a little different. i don't mind engaging with him on his dating life, actually. sometimes people need a listening ear or a sounding board. and if i can help in that role, i don't see why i shouldn't.
i'm actually not sure what i have to blog about at this time. surely my dreams and random snippets of my day don't make for interesting reading, especially since my days are even more boring than before due to the CB. maybe i should start doodling or writing or doing something else creative, then write about the process here. maybe show off the final product too. we'll see.
