I'm gonna be leong^2. got dark eye rings forming. *bad for health*
firstly, we were chumpions for soccer. <insert wonderful remarks about the team, especially Daryl ^__^> and although we lost at basketball, we can always make up for that during the games day after prelim 2 (if there is one) no?
tomorrow's gonna be fun. i have everything i have for both maths, and it doesn't look like it would fill a single file, let alone two. oh well...now i'll sort, tomorrow i'll file ^__^

Things did not go well. my predictions are right again. i should consider becoming a prophet or a fortune teller.
amaths went bang. the sound of me failing. didn't know the matrices question from 1bii onwards. screwed up sets and 1 differentiation as well. may have pressed the wrong buttons on the calculator (which, by the way, was malfunctioning) for binomial. knew nuts about a big part of P&C. as you can see, i'm screwed up, down, left, right, in, out, over, under, around and through.
now i'm only confident of passing 6 out of 8. if i get unlucky it may be 5. i feel like telling HBK that i want to retain one year and not take prelims. but that would be suicide. oh well...pass or fail, life goes on. nothing changes; execpt the way you lead your life.
and fanfiction.net hasn't been kind to me either. the formatting is always lost, no matter what i save the files as. frustrating as hell. furthermore, msn is doing it's best to keep me from staying signed in.
"some days, it just isn't worth getting out of bed." this is one of those sad, sad days. and if you think this is a complaint post, you're right. heh.

As expected, i screwed up physics. but i think i'll scrape a pass. stupid electricity. geog was fun, but due to improper time magement, i did not answer the last part sufficiently. maybe i won't pass after all.
celebrated dad's birthday at swensens' (sp?). haven't seen him smile this wide in a long time. it's all good for now...until the amaths paper tomorrow anyway.
been thinking too much...this is not good.

Just a quick one before i go sleep...
i royally screwed my maths up. i'll be happy if i pass. couldn't see the number pattern at all. chem went ok, but i think no a1 this time round. history was...history. possibly 30/50??
and tomorrow's (or today's) forecast: physics...50-60+; geog...about 60% of the marks. leading to my first ever comb humans pass if all goes well. ah well. i just *KNOW* i'll bomb physics some way or the other. possibly due to some funny electricity question. in case you haven't realized, i know next to nuts about electricity...only that Q=IT because Mr Lee was using it to explain electroplating. wahoo.

Damn it all. 6 hours after posting that prevoius entry, i got into the worst argument of the year, and possibly of my life. the irony: it was within the family. wowee. that just put me in a bad mood. and bad mood = no study done. and as a result, i think the best grade for the chinese prelim is a 4. well, add in the fact that my long essay was irrelevant, and i'd say it's a 6.
the person that should be the most disappointed in me is myself. don't understand? go figure. at the beginning of the year, i promised myself i would NEVER scream at a family member unless the house was on fire. all it took was 3 seconds, and that promise was broken. i really should have waited for the anger to pass. *for all lit students* another case of irony: i wrote an essay entitled "Keeping Cool" not too long ago.
and it *FINALLY* rained today. welcome rain i guess. made me think of a saiyuki episode: Misty Rain, or simply "Ame". but there's this other thing i call "impeccable timing". simply put, it rained the heaviest as i was walking home in the open, but immediately slowed to a drizzle the moment i reached a shelter. ah well. the big guy in the sky works in mysterious ways.
another case of impeccable timing: i've been bitten by the fanfic bug...in the middle of prelims. yahoo.
*short sidenote to everyone who has never set foot into Mr Lee's chem class: see what you've been missing all this while?? *gloat* ^__^*
*little add-on: many people seem to be falling sick these days. myself included, but to a lesser degree. well guys, get plenty of sleep during the weekend, and remember hydrogen oxide is your friend. take care now!! ^__^*

English didn't turn out as bad as i expected...compo was fine and good; i even had time to write a second draft for both the compo AND the functional. go me. although something was quite unsettling - i killed a character in my narrative!! for those of you who know me well enough, you would realize that i *HATE* doing that. i was feeling depressed and sad until paper 2. and GOD, paper 2 was the most difficult paper i have sat for in my 4 years of secondary school education.
then there was ss. after danny made me see the light, ss became less difficult than before. i'm rather confident of passing!! ^__^
so chinese tomorrow. happy mugging people!! ^__^

Oh my...prelim's in about 14 hours' time. wowee. my eyes burn with the fire of a thousand suns (now why does that sound so familiar??) and that's just from reading the SS book. not even mugging. just READING. damn. but on the bright side, it's SBQ. not like i have to memorize anything anyway. just a bit of contextual stuff. who knows? from what danny said yestersday, i may not even need that.
i called in sick for 2 reasons. the main one being my nose was running like a tap, and the secondary reson being that i had to read ss and study chinese. note different words used. damn. but i should (and must) recover in time for prelim 1 which, in case you haven't heard, starts tomorrow. lucky it's only language and ss papers for the remainder of the week. i feel i have prepared adequately for tomorrow, but i can't say the same for chinese though. i have this nagging suspicion i'll fail it.
i was just entertaining this weird thought for a while - what would happen if i was feeling particularly crazy and rushed into the printing room and just screamed really loudly?? *not funny* i'm running out of things to say here...so bye.

Let's see...maths, amaths, geog, history and study chinese. happy happy joy joy. maths will take 1/2 hour total, so will geog. history about 45 mins, ans chinese about 25 mins. yahoo. let's get cracking. but i get the feeling i didn't bring the maths tys back. ah well. one item off the list.

3 days to prelim 1. so sad, isn't it?? my big worries are chinese and humans. i can't afford to fail goeg and ss. no; scratch that. i can't afford to fail *ANYTHING*. and i'm worrying about the wrong things at this time. i need a brainwasher. or at least a definite answer to the *other* questions.

Blogger ate my post AGAIN!!! NO MITIGATING FACTORS!!! NONE at ALL!!!!!!! ok...now that that's done, on with the post.
the band concert was (and still is)...simply undescribable. the efforts the band members put in really paid off and brought returns the size of 4897984514546000% of their effort. so, some messages/whatever you call them to the band guys:
Sec 1s and 2s: Better train hard to surpass your seniors!! i'll be coming back next year to check on you all. ^__^ (and no, i'm not in the band).
sec 3s: namely Ian, Dexter, Terrence, Cristian, Jason, Aaron, and the rest of the level. if this is indicative of your progress, it's a good sign. keep up the great work!! ^__^
sec 4s: Sherman, Joachim, Kwang Han, Aik Tiong, Ian Tan, Chen Yi, Andrew, Jesper, Alex, Guo Shiong, Jun Kai, etc etc. well guys, if this is the way to end your band career, every single drop of blood, sweat and tears have been deservingly shed. you've put in everything you've got for this, despite prelims coming in 4 days. i admire your dedication. you'd better come back for next year's concert so i won't be alone. ^__^
i feel that i've let the band down somehow. a concert of such monumental success should have proper photos, but due to my memory card being sent for photo-developing, i had to take the photos with my phone. what great injustice. i apologize again, guys. *note: anyone with good quality photos please send them to me.*
photos will be up by 12pm sunday, ie tomorrow, at my imagestation album. please feel free to go there. once again, it's under "Links". ^__^

Am i prepared to waste 3 hours of my saturday night listening to my school band play pieces of music which i have probably heard hundreds of times due to their incessant rehearsing in school?? answer's yes. because that's exactly what i'm gonna do tonight; for Asthetique '04. it would be...improper if i didn't go and support all my friends in the band, especially since this year is the last for most of them.
i wonder, how does it feel performing in front of such a large crowd, knowing one screw up could couse the audience to immediately go into critical mode. not "i'm gonna blow in 5...4...3..." kind of critical, but "ooh...all those hours of practice...for nothing" critical. best of luck for tonight, guys.
it's odd; msn just automatically signed me out. maybe my internet's screwing up again. i think i'd better cut this post short, just in case.

Condemned blogger ate my post. what i was trying to say is i'm up doing dwit now, and if the school wants to find fault, let them.
i don't see myself sleeping before 0200. maybe i'll end up like a panda bear and call in sick for pe or something. that's the worst case. best case says i'll miraculously turn back time ans do the dwit when i was sleeping last night. as you can guess, i'm horribly tired and i'm not exactly in my right mind while typing this. so please bear with me and forgive me if anything offensive appears here.
i'm buying saiyuki reload. EL version of course. my Japanese isn't up to standard yet. so far, the storyline has been...interesting, to say the least. i'm not gonna reveal spoilers. not now at least. volume 3 was released in march this year, so i expect volume 4 to come out in....june-july? right in the middle of prelim 2. wonderful timing.
i feel like a monkey on some illegal drug now. not that i actually know how that feels, but you get the idea. i'm half asleep, but still producing (what i consider to be) work that has some standard. and my writing hasn't completely gone to the dogs yet.
let's see...how else to keep from falling asleep?? i know, i'll talk about tomorrow. PE, EL, chem, chinese, recess, SS, maths. wow. i'm (not at all) looking forward to it. i think i'll just publish this and find another way to relieve stress/distract myself.
~thingy of the day: Whatever...not in the mood now.~

So they *did* give out the articles...<feels stupid> oh well. at least we have until thursday. this, of course, means that i'm gonna chiong everything on wednesday night. ^__^
just one thing to get off my back: i absolutely hate it when people try to (even if they fail to) look over my shoulder as i'm on the com. it's sorta infringement on personal space. what goes on between me and the computer is none of anyone's concern, unless it's illegal. and i don't do illegal things (all that often ^__^). oh well.
not looking forward to tomorrow at all. what with ms foo and mdm gay in consecutive periods. and there are next to no teachers to lighten up the atmosphere in other lessons. boring. but at least we get to go home early.

First day of week 4 (or is it week 5 already??). mondays are looking up. it's not that bad, i guess. except for the fact that Juliano and i didn't even receive the dwit articles. 9 of them and i only have about 3. it's really amazing because i don't remember (not a SINGLE memory) the monitors distributing the articles or even telling us about the articles' existence. of course, it could have been an oversight on my part, but i seriously doubt it. oh well. i'll just have to slice up some old papers and hope, that by some miraculous twist of fate, the articles i chose are the same as the ones hbk wants. but the only downside is, the probability *applies maths knowlegde ^__^* is about one in 32568745215, or next to nuts. woohoo. but at least i'll have evidence to say i *bothered* to *do* something. hope this doesn;t affect conduct or any dumb shiat denis can come up with.

Amazing. that's what it is. after i thought i could concentrate and focus 100% on my studies after standing down, i'm finding so many new distractions coming into my life. but there's a problem in the above sentence, namely "i'm finding". am i actually *looking* for these distractions so as to avoid focussing?? maybe i'm looking for an excuse. well, i really have to wake up.

I really can't think of any more creative ways to start an entry.
today's good friday, so we get a day off from school/work. it's called good friday for a reason.
i uploaded all the pics i have onto imagestation. the url is...http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4287216953

Seems like the bad day slept in a little this week. today was worse than yesterday. maybe it's the chinese. i've come to realize that i'm starting to hate the subject with a passion. take note that i said "subject", not "teachers" or "language", because in all honesty, even though dm's really inspirational as a teacher and as a person, i feel that i've learnt all i need to last me throughout the rest of my life. i just don't see myself using 70% of the ci yu we learn now in business dealings or whatever i'll be doing in later life, unless a twist of fate causes me to be a chinese teacher.
speaking of my future life, i don't see myself obtaining a singapore-based degree. i really have this long-term goal/vision of studying abroad, just to experience life outside the island. singapore has next to nuts in terms of culture, a short history and the scenery is (almost) nonexistent. now compare that to a bigger/older country like japan, which (in case you don't know,) has a rich/diverse (word usage?) culture, a long history, and the most beautiful scenery. furthermore, the only "trademarked" thing in singapore is stress and the kiasu spirit, unlike japan, whose "trademarks" are the best swords in the world and a wonderful, service-oriented population. of course, this is the first impression i got when i went to japan, and it may not be true, but the first impression lasts the longest.
i can feel the demons of the past term creeping up on me already. these demons have taken the form i fear most: unfiled (and most likely lost) work. i should learn to be a teeny bit more organized. or scratch the "teeny bit". i need to be 3million times more organized than i am now (if i have any organizational skills to speak of).
i need a break. preferably forever, but 50 years will do just as well. i have this nagging thought in the back of my mind that i should drop physics. not that i'm no good at it, but to lighten my workload. or maybe i'm lying to myself again. i don't spend that much time on any of my subjects anyway, and i don't think one subject less will make a difference.

I'm trying to make a change to more positive music in a last-ditch attempt to improve my tolerance/mood/whatever. and i think it's succeeding.
this particular monday wasn't as trying as usual mondays, maybe because we had early-late dismissal (learning journey). no teachers screamed at us today, though a few people got in trouble in mr lee's class. usual 4-6 stuff. the learning journey was actually not boring. as in i didn't even think of going back to school, well until the rain came anyway. speaking of the rain, there were these really bright flashes of lightning which must have been pretty close to us as the thunder followed almost immediately. and the funny thing was, this guy was driving a really huge petrol tanker in the middle of it all. brave guy.
and before i forget, there was this really educational/meaningful/fun documentary of martial arts yesterday. it showed that a kick can deliver 20000-odd lb/sq. in of force, while a normal human skull would crack at 8 lb/sq. in. and the weapons demonstartions were wonderful. it was...fascinating, to say the least, to see how the experts handled the weapon of their choice. *note to self: study in Japan in the future*
for now, life is good. treasure it while it lasts.

I'm feeling...peaceful. totally relaxed. if only every day could be like this. it's just so overwhelming. anyway, a quick rundown of the newspaper thing today.
leong came late. mp came late. hbk talked, mp talked. took photos. set off. started. 2nd slowest group. went to help slowest group after we received help as well. stayed back until nearly 1230 to wait for lorry thingy. screwed around and took photos and recordings. stuff like that.
then came home and slept. woke up at 6+ and went over to my cousin's place for dinner and to bo liao around.
as you can see, i don't really feel like talking/typing too much. don;t want to spoil the relaxed mood here.

The end of another week. week 2 to be specific. prelim's in 20 days.and i thought i wouldn't have to worry until term 3.
back in 4-6, things have improved. relations between the students and the teacher(s), as well as among the students themselves. this is, of course, a good thing. i guess the past week was just another low in the graph of 4-6, but we're recovering.
