Allow me to apologize, because i'm at a total loss as to how to start this post. i've thought of a quote, song lyrics, even a quote from a song, but nothing seems to flow today. anyway, now that some headway has been made, let's get down to what i have to say.
yesterday was one of my better days. i spent 2.5 hours in the library, doing my complex numbers tutorial and some other stuff. for once, i felt productive. i really think i should do this more often.
sadly, today was sucky in comparison. it was a long day, and we got screwed big time in econs, which was the last period. what a way to end the day, no? you know, there are times you want to blame the teacher, your classmates, anyone but yourself. this is one of those times, except that you know that you're in the wrong; you just don't want to believe it. sometimes, i just want to take the easy way out and drop econs, but somehow, it doesn't feel right. oh well.
also, turns out i've officially been denied the chance to take the physics s-paper. my emotions are pretty mixed about this. on one hand, i'm happy because i can finally go for training on thursday without having a major scheduling conflict. and god knows i need all the training i can get up till july. yet, i still feel sad, because telling people that you're a 1 s-paper student doesn't have the same ring as saying that you take 2 s-papers. this is, of course, assuming i get to keep my chem s-paper, which is in jeopardy as well. all in all, i guess i'm neutral towards physics. but if they take my chem s-paper away, i'll have to fight for it.
"We all make mistakes, yeah,
But it's never too late to start again,
Take another breath and say another prayer...
And fly away from here,
Anywhere, yeah, I don't care
We'll just fly away from here
Our hopes and dreams are out there somewhere"
Extract from Aerosmith - Fly Away From Here
wouldn't it be nice to fly away sometimes? i don't mean flying off a building, heading towards the ground at 9.81 metres per second squared, but rather, flying to somewhere like maybe a small pacific island, just for a break. i guess this particular train of thought was inspired by a Green Lantern book i just bought. i'm not sure about the exact way the ideas are linked, but i'm thinking it's because the Green Lantern can fly. anyways, i'm thinking a break would be really welcome now.
last thing on my mind...the week has really flown by.
